El Proyecto YouthSource Centers provide comprehensive employment and training services for youth ages 16-24 throughout the San Fernando Valley. Our primary focus is out-of-school youth; drop-out youth; in-school youth and jobless youth. Our services ensure that young people that have barriers to employment or education get the skills and education that is required to enter the workforce based on the Labor market economy, including the demand sector and emerging industries.

El Proyecto del Barrio YouthSource Centers are major players servicing the low income, underserved youth and unemployed youth communities with a significant result oriented outcome such as education and jobs for the growing young communities for the whole San Fernando Valley.
The YouthSource Centers are Four-Star recognized Youth Programs, the only ones out of the sixteen YouthSource Centers that are Certified Malcom Baldrige Award and (CAPE) California Award for Performance Excellence Prospector Award Recipient.
The YouthSource Program is funded by the Los Angeles Economic and Workforce Development Department (EWDD).
Substances Abuse
El Proyecto’s Behavioral Health Program provides counseling and referrals to men and women with substance abuse and mental health problems, including specialized services for women who are pregnant, postpartum or parenting. The Program is staffed by bilingual and drug-certified counselors. It assists men and women in areas including domestic violence/sexual abuse, self-esteem, peer support, life skills, health education, drug education, 12 step/relapse, and parenting who receive treatment rather than incarceration.
